Intercession & Prayer
We seek God together—for the Church, the nation, and the nations. This department equips congregations to pray Scripture, watch in the Spirit, and serve with compassion.
Vision & Mandate
We exist to strengthen FPCT congregations in a culture of day-by-day intercession— that every member might “pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests” (Eph 6:18). We train prayer leaders, coordinate national seasons of fasting, and mobilise mercy-oriented outreach that flows from the place of prayer.
How We Pray

Weekly Prayer Rhythm
- Mon: Scripture meditation & thanksgiving.
- Tue: Intercession for families, children & youths.
- Wed: Leaders, pastors, workers & students.
- Thu: Missions, evangelism, communities & peace.
- Fri/any day: Fasting focus—mercy & justice initiatives.
- Sat: Local outreach; visits & practical service.
- Sun: Congregational worship & altar ministry.
Code of Care & Values
Intercessors commit to confidentiality, gentleness, and integrity. We never promise outcomes; we point to Christ. We avoid gossip, coercion, and sensationalism. We partner with pastors for spiritual oversight and with mercy teams for practical support.
Training & Resources
- Intro to Intercession (4 sessions): Scripture, listening, teamwork.
- Prayer & Pastoral Care: boundaries, referrals, and cooperation with elders.
- Fasting Basics: health considerations and corporate practice.
- Prayer in Mission: reaching unreached peoples & local witness.
Nationwide Moments
Throughout the year we host 24-hour prayer watches, regional prayer breakfasts, and pre-conference altars. Congregations can adopt a monthly watch hour and register prayer needs for their districts.
